Classification and characteristics of ball valves

 

1.Floating ball valve

The ball of the ball valve is floating. Under the action of the medium pressure, the ball can produce a certain displacement and tightly press on the sealing surface at the outlet end to ensure sealing.

 

Features: The structure of the floating ball valve is simple and the sealing is good, but the load of the ball bearing the working medium is all transmitted to the outlet seal ring. This structure is generally used for low and medium pressure ball valves.

 

 

2. Fixed ball valve

The ball valve is fixed and does not move after being pressed. Fixed ball valves are equipped with floating valve seats. After the pressure of the medium, the valve seat moves, so that the sealing ring is tightly pressed on the ball to ensure the seal. It is suitable for high pressure and large caliber valves.

 

Features: The fixed ball valve is a high-performance ball valve, and its strength, safety, and harsh environmental performance have been specially considered during design. Therefore, it can be applied to various corrosive and non-corrosive media, which has stronger sealing and reliability.

 

 

3. Elastic ball valve

The ball of an elastic ball valve is elastic. Both the ball and the valve seat seal ring are made of metal materials. The specific pressure of the seal is very large. The pressure of the medium itself has not reached the requirements of the seal, and external force must be applied. This valve is suitable for high temperature and high pressure media.

 

Features: Elastic ball valve is small size and light weight, easy to operate and easy to install. The clever wedge-shaped design enables the valve to have an automatic sealing function as it closes and tightens, with compensating and zero leakage between the sealing surfaces. Pneumatic and electric devices can be configured according to user requirements to meet the needs of remote control and program control.

 

4.Three-way ball valve

Three-way ball valves are available in T and L types. The T type can make three orthogonal pipelines communicate with each other and cut off the third channel, and plays a role of diverting and combining. The L type can only connect two pipes that are orthogonal to each other, and cannot keep the third pipe connected to each other at the same time, only for distribution.

 

Features: The three-way ball valve adopts an integrated structure in structure, a sealed type of 4-sided valve seat, less flange connection, high reliability, and lightweight design. It has a long service life, large flow capacity, and low resistance.
